Job Description

At Hasbro, our mission is to entertain and connect generations of fans through the wonder of storytelling and exhilaration of play. We're looking for adventurous and curious people who want to explore, experiment, and innovate to come up with the best ideas. Our culture has inspired our diverse team of highly skilled, highly creative, and highly committed individuals for 100 years and we believe the best is yet to come.

We have an opportunity for a Senior Manager of Consumer Insights to join our team! As a member of the growing Analytics, Insights, & Measurement team at Hasbro, the Senior Manager of Consumer Insights for Global Brand Licensing will be an embedded strategic partner to our Global Licensed Consumer Products (LCP) group. The LCP team is responsible for building our franchises across a range of licensed categories and consumer experiences - Toys, Merchandise, Books, Live Events, Promotions, and more! Our business partners need powerful consumer and market insights to build strategies and deliver data-driven pitches to external audiences, including licensed category manufacturers and retailers.

The underlying motivation of the person in this role is a passion for Hasbro's brands paired with the ability to spot and insightfully convey brand and category opportunities from data. With your partners, you will promote a vision of Hasbro brands as true multi-category franchises, helping discover the insights that unlock their potential.

This position can be based in our Pawtucket, RI office or located remotely on the East Coast.

A day in the life of the Senior Manager of Consumer Insights for Global Brand Licensing:
  • Be the go-to insights resource for our LCP business partners, enabling their commercial success via thoughtful application of consumer and market knowledge.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement an annual plan for insights initiatives with investments aligned to business goals and leadership priorities.
  • Help partner teams see and understand growth opportunities for Hasbro-licensed products and experiences across a diverse set of categories, countries, audiences, and retail channels.
  • Conduct research and analysis, crafting innovating approaches where needed, to deliver insights that engage business partners and drive application across all phases of business development, from strategy to pitch.
  • Synthesize knowledge from multiple sources (research, syndicated data, trends) to craft concise, compelling, and insightful narratives.
  • Harness an understanding of macroeconomic, consumer, and category trends, and what it will take for Hasbro brands to drive cultural relevance and revenue through licensing.
  • Maintain, optimize, and further business partner usage of a centralized library of insight resources curated specifically for LCP.
  • Model new ways of working to increase partnership among cross-functional contributors to power growth across the blueprint.
  • Advance AIM's toolkit in support of LCP by identifying insight gaps and optimizing vendor partnerships.

What you'll bring:
  • 10+ years in consumer insights or market research. Experience with children's brands, entertainment, gaming, and/or licensing is a plus.
  • Strong ability to diagnose business needs and develop custom analytics and insights solutions that address them.
  • Outstanding ability to synthesize data and insights from multiple formats and research methodologies into clear stories.
  • Standout versatility in crafting custom research approaches and presentations that surface the most important insights, building roadmaps for Hasbro's commercial growth.
  • Strong background guiding external partners to perform custom data analysis and/or primary research, from front-end scoping through final delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate syndicated data platforms (like Circana, Numerator, Euromonitor, Kantar, etc.) and perform custom analysis to uncover the most relevant and impactful insights.
  • A flexible and influential client service approach, committed to delivering the right solutions to address an evolving range of business contexts.
  • A bold self-starter mentality, eager to seek and follow through on opportunities to deliver impact with insights.
  • High-level analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 tools and navigating Power BI dashboards.
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience required, preferably in social sciences, marketing/market research, or a related subject area.
  • MBA, other advanced degree, or additional education in consumer insights/analytics a plus.
