This position is a full-time exempt, benefit eligible position, including: medical, dental, life, long-term disability, EAP, 12 paid holidays a year and 31 days of PTO (in Year 1!). Additionally, we offer a 403b and match after 1 year, and offer the option to enroll in many other supplementary benefits. We offer a casual work environment and the week between Christmas and New Years off! We also offer 2 days work from home (not including February and March) after 6 months of employment.
The Membership Engagement Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment and retention of girl scouts and volunteers in their assigned area.

Requirements
This position is based out of the Springfield office and covers Sangamon County.
Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Design and implement a comprehensive plan to reach and maintain the market share goal for membership in assigned areas.
2. Research school population statistics, market data, membership trends, and other pertinent information relevant to assigned areas.
3. Implement recruiting and retention strategies outlined in the council's strategic plan, annual marketing plan, and/or other council goals.
4. Plan, schedule, and execute recruitment events in assigned areas, attending individually or with assistance from volunteers.
5. During peak season; back to school and daisy push, hold recruitment events a minimum of 3 times per week (end).
6. Cultivate relationships with area businesses, schools and educators, faith-based institutions, civic organizations, and other community stakeholders to increase awareness and participation.
7. Support the delivery of the troop experience in assigned areas until adults are trained and ready to serve as volunteers. In some cases, direct support of troops will be required.
8. Maintain troop information and leader lists for new and existing troops; continually updating troop information in Salesforce.
9. Establish and grow relationships with area Service Units (SU) by attending SU meetings and events.
10. Follow up on new leads and referrals, convert to registered membership, troops, and leaders.
11. Collaborate with the Program and Fund Development Departments to assist in volunteer participation growth.
12. Lead annual membership renewal campaign in assigned areas.
13. Provide volunteer leader onboarding, to include Basic Leader Training and ongoing support and direction.
14. Work within Salesforce to manage, support, and track information, interactions, and actions with volunteers, by entering information timely and accurately.
15. Manage cases, tasks, and data cleanup as needed, in Salesforce.
16. Respond to inquiries via phone, email, walk-in visitors and written communications in an appropriate, prompt, and efficient manner, cultivating a positive customer experience.
17. Continually update Salesforce dashboard for review of progress to goals.
18. Support service area teams and troops in all product sales activities.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS •Bachelor's degree, preferred. Equivalent combination of education and work experience in related field with proven, member recruitment and customer engagement success acceptable. Experience in sales preferred and a plus.
•Excellent interpersonal communication skills including oral and written communication.
•Knowledge and application of effective customer service principles.
•Comfortable and able to use telephone to converse with customers.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and customer relationship management systems or other call center or data tracking systems.
•Believes in and supports the mission of the Girl Scouts.
•Willing to become a registered Girl Scout member.
•Maintain reliable transportation and the ability to travel daily.
•Ability to meet travel requirements including evening and weekend and occasional overnight travel as needed to conduct council business.
•Valid transportation and current, valid driver's license and minimum state auto insurance requirements to carry out assignments.
•Able to successfully pass criminal background check.
•Ability to provide two professional references with one being a previous supervisor.
WORKING CONDITIONS •Non-traditional work hours including evenings and weekends to serve client base.
•Field based position with daily travel.
•Works independently and as part of a cross functional team.
•Occasional overnight travel may be required for training.
•Capable of lifting 35 lbs.
