Responsibilities: \n
\n - Completes vital signs, specimen testing and EKGs as needed.
\n - Organizes daily schedule of patients, greet patients and assigns rooms.
\n - Orders supplies for unit as necessary.
\n - Maintains competency requirements.
\n - Coordinates the ordering of blood products in collaboration with RNs, Blood Bank and Laboratory.
\n - Greets each person entering the clinic, identifies self and role. Explains processes and procedures to new patients and assists with paperwork.
\n - Participate in interdisciplinary activities such as staff meetings and other committees as assigned.
\n - Other Duties as Assigned.
\n - Maintain high visibility. Stationed in a prominent area in the clinic that is readily identifiable and accessible to customer.
\n - Anticipates and responds to meet customer needs.
\n - Respond appropriately to crisis situation as a team member.
\n - Participates in interdisciplinary activities such as staff meetings and other committees as assigned.
\n - Assists in the registration of patients to include verification and confirmation of health insurance coverage.
\n - Immediately report any situation that may impact safety of patients, visitors and staff.
\n - Provides front desk coverage as assigned.
\n - Continuously monitors the environment and facilitates correction of any detraction from the appearance, comfort and safety of the clinic.
\n - Account for all customers in the clinic.
\n - Provides coordination and supervision in the lobby/waiting room.
\n - Serve as liaison between customers and clinic staff.
\n - Collects 100% of copays daily and correctly balances at the end of each day.
\n - Coordinates scheduling to include testing.
\n - Coordinates and manages the bone marrow biopsy schedule for multiple practitioners and bone marrow technicians.

Medical Assistant:
\n
\n - High school diploma or equivalent is required.
\n - Patient care experience preferred.
\n
\n
Salaries range from $16.74 - $18.80 - $25.57 hourly
\n
Medical Assistant, Senior:
\n
\n - High school diploma or equivalent is required.
\n - Successful completion of Medical Assistant Program or equivalent hospital program (LPN/RN/EMT)
\n \n - OR successful completion of certification examination (AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA)
\n - OR at least 1 year of patient care experience.
\n
\n - Must be responsible and demonstrate proficiency in three practice category-specific tasks as determined by the manager.
\n - Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities.
\n
\n
Salaries range from $16.84 - $19.57 - $25.72 hourly
\n
Medical Assistant, Expert:
\n
\n - Successful completion of Medical Assistant Program or equivalent hospital program (LPN/RN/EMT)
\n \n - OR successful completion of certification examination (AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA) and 1 year of patient care experience
\n - OR at least 2 years of patient care experience.
\n
\n - Must successfully complete the UPMC Preceptor training and serve as a preceptor and mentor to newly hired team members.
\n - Must be responsible and demonstrate proficiency in all practice category-specific tasks as determined by the manager.
\n
\n
Salaries range from $16.94 - $20.32 - $25.87 hourly
\n
Patient Service Coordinator:
\n
\n - High School graduate or equivalent required.
\n - Minimum of three years of direct patient care and or phlebotomy experience.
\n - Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities.
\n - Possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with individuals from multi-disciplinary groups.
\n - Possesses excellent organizational skills.
\n

Salaries range from $16.94 - $20.32 - $25.87 hourly

\n
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: \n
\n - Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy licensure preferred
\n - CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
\n - Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
\n - Act 34
