As a Landscape Designer, you will provide, at a minimum, the following duties:
- Assists in the preparation of land planning and landscape architectural graphic exhibits, concept plans, improvement plans, specifications, supporting documents, and permit applications for subdivisions, commercial developments, multifamily developments, and other private land development projects.
- Performs site analysis, material and code research, landscape area and material quantities, grading impacts, and cost estimates, and provides other supporting documentation for projects.
- Responsible for site renderings and illustrations.
- Assist with AutoCAD drawings for schematic, design development and construction documents.
- Provide support to other team members and Project Manager(s).
Requirements
Education: - Bachelor's or Master's in Landscape Architecture from a four-year, board-approved curriculum, or six years of combined board-approved landscape architecture curriculum and/or landscape architecture work experience.
Experience: - Typically, 0-4 years of site planning and/or landscape architectural design experience. Entry level candidates without job related experience are also encouraged to apply.
Qualifications: - Basic knowledge of landscape architectural practices including the preparation of conceptual designs through construction documents for land development projects.
- Demonstrates proficiency in the use of commonly used programs and procedures (e.g., AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).
- Demonstrates knowledge and ability to prepare visually appealing and creative color rendered presentation drawings electronically using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Understands the uses of landscape architectural principles, codes, and standards in landscape architectural design, including site planning, site layout and detailing, hardscape, grading, erosion control, planting design, and irrigation design.
- Understands the approval and permitting process for landscape architectural and land planning projects.
- Communicates in a timely and effective manner within a team and with clients, various agencies, and other practice areas and disciplines working on a project.
- Understands project goals, project schedules, and budgets with the ability to work efficiently within project guidelines and direction provided by team members and project manager(s).
- Demonstrates organizational skills in completing assigned work.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and projects.
Salary Description
$55,000 to $75,000 Base, DOE + Bonus Opportunities
