Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives for new and pre-owned motorcycles. Ensure cross sales of parts, accessories, and general merchandise.
  • Lead, train, and motivate the sales team to meet or exceed sales targets and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, prepare reports, and adjust strategies as necessary to improve sales results.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional service to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to design and execute promotional campaigns and events to drive traffic and increase sales.
  • Manage inventory of new and pre-owned motorcycles and related products, ensuring optimal stock levels based on sales trends and customer demand.
  • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring profitability and compliance with the dealership's policies and legal requirements.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and new product releases to effectively position the dealership in the marketplace.
  • Work with the finance and insurance (F&I) department to ensure customers are presented with financing options that meet their needs.
  • Maintain a clean and professional showroom environment that showcases the Harley-Davidson brand and products effectively.
  • Participate in Harley-Davidson training and certification programs to stay current in accordance with Harley-Davidson University with product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Foster a culture of honesty, integrity, and teamwork.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of success in automotive or motorcycle sales management
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Strong understanding of the Harley Davidson brand and motorcycle industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations affecting motorcycle sales
  • Experience with inventory management and financial planning
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed
  • Valid motorcycle endorsement on driver's license and the ability to ride a motorcycle
  • Strong ethical standards and a professional demeanor
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry changes
