Job Description: The Job/What You'll Do: Develop and write engaging and creative content for various channels within the financial industry. You will work closely with key stakeholders within Experience Design and Events Teams, and other departments to understand project objectives and incorporate feedback into content.
We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our Concord, CA, Chicago, IL or Phoenix, AZ office. Responsibilities: - Developing and writing content executive presentation speeches
- Developing and writing scripts for video and other media content, including podcasts
- Collaborating with team members to brainstorm ideas and concepts for new projects
- Conducting thorough research on assigned topics to ensure accuracy of information
- Writing and editing content for various platforms, including but not limited to websites, social media, press releases, and marketing materials
- Adhering to brand guidelines and maintaining consistency in tone and voice across all written content
- Meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Adapting writing style and tone to suit different projects and target audiences
- Staying updated on industry trends and developments to ensure content is relevant and engaging
- Proofreading and editing content to ensure grammatical accuracy, clarity, and consistency
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall company objectives
- Participating in brainstorming sessions and ideation processes with marketing partners and other internal stakeholders to develop original and creative solutions that resonate with target audiences and align with project objectives

- Excellent writer with the ability to create compelling content in a wide variety of formats to elevate the brand voice and simplify complex concepts
- Strong storyteller who effectively brings experiences to life
- Takes initiative to identify content opportunities within AssetMark to achieve business goals
- Strategic thinker who researches and understands the evolving needs and goals of the organization
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that all storylines, names, and data points are factually correct in any piece of writing
- Strong copyediting skills and the ability to identify how to optimize the content
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple assignments seamlessly and effectively to meet deadlines
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, endlessly curious, an active listener, and takes constructive feedback
- Drive to become an expert in AssetMark's brand voice, strategic decisions, and initiatives to develop a deeper understanding of the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
- Understanding of events and experience design (preferred)
Education & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Journalism, Communications or a related field, or relevant work experience
- 5+ years of wide-ranging writing experience
- 5+ years working in executive presentation and speechwriting
- 5+ years working and creating and developing short-form scripts for video content
- Portfolio or writing samples demonstrating experience crafting brand stories for an organization, a solid grasp of story structure, executive speech writing with an adept ability to adapt the writing to the speaker's voice, copyediting content, academic articles, press releases, video and media scripts, etc.
- Financial industry knowledge is a plus
Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $90,000-$130,000.
This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
